Re: weapon lxxxi's jeep 12
Ha that's what I was thinking, but looking at it the top part which is connected to the chassis has snapped the metal. Any recommendations on shocks? I don't plan to off road or want to lift it. Just seen the skyjackers on Morris 4x4 ...

Re: weapon lxxxi's jeep 12
i sold the hard top for £340 ($544 USD) a lil less than i wanted but its gone as i couldnt store it! I used the the money to buy the best top supertop spice.
i know its not the "movie correct" one but it means i can run full doors in winter and halves in summer, as its my daily drive. Its super tight love it. while i was waiting for it to warm up in my friends warehouse i used his heatgun to get the sickers off. all gone, just a bit of glue left but thats gonna go when the paint happens. getting that sorted soon a guy next door to where i was is getting me a quote. he seemed excited to be able to do it too.

Looks good! Man I can't really think of anything worse than standing in snow trying to apply or pick off vinyl. Ugh. UGH.

You have no idea ha, you know how you should read instructions? Well I didn't bother so I missed the bit about it having to be over 22degC, & it had shrunk an inch. I just stuck a portable heater in the back for an hour worked great. Like u tho I love all the options u can have with the super top.yj87jp wrote:Nice i love my new super top too, was it as big a pain to put on in the cold as it was for me

Has any body else had this problem? .... When you touch the brake the dash lights & side lights come on? (Daytime). I have no idea what is happening :/
Re: weapon lxxxi's jeep 12
I've never heard of that but my advice would be to just check and clean all your wire connections with dialectric grease and cleaner, poor connections are usually the root of gremlins in the electrical system, good luck

The brake light system is grounding through other systems. This can be corrected by finding the short or by running a new ground wire. Finding the issue will not be fun. You need to start with the wiring schematic and isolate the ground wire for the brake system. The wires will chance color at every junction probably. To better describe what is happening the positive current is flowing to the brake lights but also traveling through the other lighting system before reaching a ground to the body. So the positive current lights up every bulb in its travel to ground. You have to stop the flow by adding a ground wire before the other systems bulbs are reached. This will prevent the back flow. Lights will work in either direction and the flow is going in reverse. Well possibly..It all depends on the short location. Anyways follow the ground wire part of the brake light system under the dash. Easy right... =P Maybe luck will be on your side and it will fix itself when you hit a bump or something dries out.
