Please stand by we are having technical difficulties.....

Ok quick boring/scary update as its been a while!
My spare is now red wooo I used the same colour that is on my wing mirrors really pops!
My sheerd of shock absorber is now attached again phew (& surprisingly it corners better ha)
After that I have just jet washed the frame to find any other scary things.
I did :( a hole I can stick my finger through not good!!! So I'm going to weld a plate over that to strong metal. It only seems to be the rear of the frame that is rusty odd!
Next I think it's due a service as its at 91713 miles & I haven't had one since I bought it 2years ago. It has been trying to stall and cut out recently, my initial thought was the head gasket but I've done all the tests it's not that. So see if the service & dodgy cat fix it.
Next: check engine light came on & the results I looked up it reads sensors so hopefully nothing major. Maybe the TPS is the corse of the stalling???

Boring!!! I want to buy pretty JP mod things for it!

Easy to forget about the stuff you can't see when the goal is to add parts that make it look different.

Crankshaft and camshaft position sensors have a habit of failing more often than they should on YJs. Either could cause your issue as the timing gets messed up when these sensors start to fail.

I replaced my O2 sensor and then it wouldn't start sometimes. I replaced the crankshaft sensor and that didn't help. The camshaft sensor is in the distributor. It was easier to buy a new distributor than it was to try to find the same sensor that was in the old distributor. Replacing the distributor seems to have fixed it.

$200 for all three parts and I can't see any of them. :(

Wow been a while since I've posted on my own thread! :/! It's been a busy year & lots of things went wrong personally but I didn't let it stop me & I'm now back to awesome! I have taken pics of progress but as my laptop is now shite they will come when I have access to someone's for a while.
So after the service it ran & still does amazingly quiet and smooth I replaced the oil, air, & fuel filters, spark plugs & flushed it all through. I think I even filled the tank & treated it to that oneshot stuff. I have recoated my bumpers so they are shiny black again and sorted a paint guy hopefully, so just have to save for that & do a bit of prep so it brings the cost down.
I took the beast to a car warsh to power wash the dirt off a few weeks ago as I now don't have to drive it daily, & while I was there a guy infront had a convirtable BMW, the water was beading up & running off his roof so I asked him if he had coated it? He told me he used an autoglym product that they use at jaguar & Aston Martin etc. so I went & bought some.... It's amazing it bought the colour out & when it rains it just falls off!!! Highly recommended. (Again pics to follow)
Oh I've also painted my dash too I went for a Matt grey & Matt black for the dials.

I've had a few pm convos with others & they have pointed me in directions of things so some goodies to be added as soon as I have them. (It's hard on a UK budget damn that shipping!!!)

Oh my horn isn't working any ideas I don't fancy taking the steering collum apart if I can help it?

The horn is a easy system. Check to see if you have power at the horn with the button pressed. You should hear a relay click under the dash when hitting the horn button. If no power at the horn check for the relay power and click sound coming from the relay. I bet the horn is just bad or has a bad ground to the body. If you hear the click under the dash every time the button is pressed go straight to the horn. If no power to the horn or relay pull the center button off the wheel.

Dang man, I hate when something like that happens, I had some accurate side steps IN Oklahoma City, I called the guy and told him that I was coming, he said 'ok' got there less than 30 minutes later, and the guy had already sold them to another chap. Quite frustrating.

That's VERY shoddy selling practices there.
You'd entered into a contract upon winning and paying.....he backed out so appropriate feedback should be left.

oh it has been left not happy!!! anyway the amber light search continues. i have however now become the proud owner of a light bar!!! the seller told me its an original one but its one piece? anyway its a good hight and solid ready for paint after its been prepped. he did say tho that its his second one as the first one he had cracked because of the wobbling when lights are on.... anyone had this?

now bad news (again) i went to my paint guy to get a final quote, then after visiting my mum i had a run in with a landrover discovery.
he cut the corner causing me to hit him. so the damage to mine is bent front bumper & front wing/flare, broken spot & hood latches!!! GRRRR so annoyed! he is denying it so its down to insurance arguing. its going in for repairs on monday so no jeep for a week. but he is going to paint the new wing in the sand biege so i can see what it will look like, bit by bit i guess ha!! (hopefully all update pics are loading still got a crap laptop)

Sorry to hear of the 'run-in' but fingers crossed insurance will see it for what it is.
The location of the accident should make that pretty clear.

Now I'm no body guy but from the looks of it the locations of damage look to be easily replaceable once his insurance pays out (again fingers crossed)

I actually pulled my dash off last weekend to fix my radio antennae....not as dirty as yours but definitely needs a cleaning.
