I'm taking it in next Friday to get her painted. I'm going with LJ1 Sand Beige High Gloss & Viper Red. I really want the red to pop. I also got Deloreanguy's old seats. Not in great condition, but a definite upgrade from what I had.

Only a couple more days until I get my baby back. Just need to add the red.

I picker her up yesterday, although, she's not quite done. I have to get a new new hood stencil because they messed it up the first time. I also opted for Champagne color, and not the true sand beige. I know it's not perfectly "accurate," but I liked the Cyrix's paint. Also, for the red I went with Sherwin Williams 42828. I'm doing the wheels with Plasti Dip, and I need to paint the new hard wear (stainless steel) black.

I know it looks silver, but it is the Champagne. I'm gonna wait for a month to put the door logos on to allow it to properly cure. The next few days are going to be my "put it back together" days. Soon it will be done!

The layout looks great!

Is your camera set up to selective color for red, or is it just that overcast down there today? The only color I see in those shots is red, which is why I asked.

I actually took these yesterday, right before it started raining, so yes, it was over cast.

Not sure why you aren't just painting the wheels, You still haev to paint the hood anyway. just take them off and paint the at the same time. you are going to want the reds to match exactly.

BUT...BUT....THE FLAMES....WHERE ARE THE FLAMES?!?!?!?

Looking good my friend.
I was going to point out the VERY odd coloring in the photo but the skies were getting pretty dark last night.

Please post up some more photos in the sunlight so we can get a good look.

I imagine you'll want the same red on your mirrors too. Palsti-dip didn't cover my black mirrors very well.

I put a LOT of very thick coats on my mirrors to cover up the black... the plastidip can be semi transparent. Also I had black windshield hinges and I thought I got enough on them, but certain pictures you can still see it is a different shade. In all I wouldn't recommend plastidip if you want full accuracy, and perfect results.... But it is a good stepping stone, and it is a lot cheaper than paint for temp use. But it also won't last forever either.
