This thread will be updated with any progress made or lost on my JP 12 build.

09/25/11 - Discovered a crack on the headers. Possible exhaust leak. Will get a shop to weld it back up. Also found two oil leaks. One from the rear differential, and one from the auto transmission pan.

Make sure the leak is from the pan, mine looked that way but it was coming from the rear output seal for the most part and some from the shift linkage. My pan was leaking too, but moreso from that rear transmission output seal.

I could have it done a lot sooner, but there are a few issues with the car that are hindering progress. I got a quote from my shop... $300 for parts and labor to remove the headers and re-weld it. And there are some bad squeaking noises when I drive and I can't figure them out. I am gonna go back to my VW as my daily driver until the jeep is fully up to date on fixes and maintenance. :(

09/28/11 - Replaced the passenger side mirror because it was loose. Found out that the TJ mirrors have a slightly different base so I'll be stopping by the Jeep dealership tomorrow to pickup some longer bolts to accommodate for the extra length needed.
