Bought a 1994 SE automatic this week. It's currently my daily driver so I wanted to go with full doors and a hard top. I've seen JP Jeeps done this way and think they look good. Not like I can't do the soft top later.

I've ordered the front bumper and fog lights. Not a big fan of the chrome grill overlay either. I think that's going away this weekend.

I plan on painting it myself. Shouldn't be too tough.

Good start! I'm a HUUUGE fan of the hard doors and brown hardtop look that a lot of people have been doing. Keeping the door a single color and letting the stripes end where they would on a softtop: perfect! Keep updating!!

It's a good start, thanks. Since it's my dd I had to start with drivability and reliability things first. New tires, alignment, crank & cam sensors, stereo, center console, tow hitch, and cowl seal are all on the list this week. Hope to paint it this summer sometime.

I should probably figure out why it doesn't unlock with the key sometime soon too.

I think I should be able to make it look pretty close to this one you've all seen a thousand times.

Nice jeep I also used the hardtop and whole doors like how you were saying you wanted to but I only put them on in the winter then in the summer I put my soft top and half doors back on.

The eventual plan is to do just that, but for now it's going to be just a hardtop for a couple years.

Busy week.

Tore out old stereo & wiring.
Broke heater in the process.
Found broken heater switch wire, fixed it.
Noticed taped-up broken heater control switch.
Added heater control to the list of things to replace.

Replaced courtesy lamp switch.
Installed LED 3rd brake light bulbs.
Replaced both front side marker lenses and gave them LED bulbs.
Wrapped steering wheel with a leather cover. Nice.
Installed weatherstrip clips on the windshield & hard top side windows.
Fixed a bulls-eye in the windshield.
Replaced wipers.
Adjusted tailgate latch.
Installed hood lock.
Removed spare tire mounted ski rack.
Ditched chrome grille overlay.
Installed & wired up new front fog lights on new Crown bumper.
Removed original center console.
Tune up & air filter.
New wheel locks.
Passenger roll bar grab handles.
Tinted all 3 hard top windows.
Installed 5 of 6 new speakers, 1 amp, new Alpine deck and Smittybilt 16-gauge locking center console.

Tomorrow-
New front seatbelts.

Soon as they get here-
New cowl weatherstrip.
Replace hard top front and corner seals.
New front door panels, inside door handles & pulls.
Non-chrome headlight bezels.
Monstaliner on the hard top.

Someday when I have nothing else to do-
Steam clean motor then find and fix oil leak.
Fix exhaust leak.
Find whatever's rattling under the dash.

I know there's more stuff I forgot.

wow you were busy. FYI the film used ones had no third brake light. third brake light showed up in 94-95, was not on 92-93 versions.

Sure was busy. The Jeep's in pretty good shape, but everything is showing 148k miles' worth of wear.

I guess I have 2 choices regarding the CHMSL- leave it there and be legal, or remove it illegally and be more screen accurate.

My Jeep will be more of a tribute than a replica, what with the hard top and being a daily driver, so it'll probably stay.
