Very cool! I was thinking about your Explorer just the other day and wondering how things were coming along. It'll be cool to get to watch your progress.

Thanks for posting this, I will be following closely as a local buddy of mine decided he wants to join in on the fun. We already got the front grill guard, and rear tail light guards, we are now looking for a good vehicle, and are getting quotes for getting the clear roof done. If you have any rough dimensions or sketches on the clear portion of the roof, could you forward that or post it up? The place I found that said could do the roof won't give me an estimate without dimensions, which is hard to get without having the vehicle.

Awsome, I was curious as to how you made your roof box, anyway you can tell me how you did that?

Yeah, a little progress both ways. I built the track sensor on the front of the truck (Positive progress) and threw out the roof box in favor of doing it better and more accurately (negative progress).

I have to disagree that throwing out the roof box would count as negative progress. I mean if the first one wasn't right and you got XP from building it then it's all part of the process and puts you that much closer to an accurate build.

that track box is great!... I don't pour over teh explorer like I do the jeep, so what did you feel was wrong with the roof box?
