Matt's SoCal JP Jeep #18 Build
Re: Matt's SoCal JP Jeep #18 Build
hmmm lights on an 18... interesting... I like how those quadratec winches have the connections on the backside of the housing... the superwinch has them on top, so even when my solenoid is remote mounted the studs and wires will still be visible.

Tony, you scared the crap out of me, I thought Matt posted that his jeep just got vandalized.

Anytime! Haha yeah a storm rolled in and it gave the perfect atmosphere for the pics. I was so stoked hahayj87jp wrote:Thanks for the feedback, and are you sure that's not isla nublar cause it sure looks like it lol
Thanks bro! Yeah should be on this weekend if all goes according to plan.hayabusa18 wrote:I can't wait to see it with the lights; great pics by the way!
I already have non accurate fogs, winch and rear fog lights. I figure if I am going to have a light bar fabricated it might as well be put to good use and I didn't wanna just toss on any lights so I bought the right Jabscos #12 had because that as far as I know would be the lights a JP mechanic would equip to a Jeep.COBrian wrote:hmmm lights on an 18... interesting... Yeah thankfully the Jeep is garaged so I don't really stress about it. That and I have pretty awesome neighbors. That is so dirty, you literally cannot trust anyone anymore.cpltony wrote:Man....can't have anything nice in some neighborhoods!!

Thank you I really appreciate it! I need to join the completed JP Jeep group here pretty soon
Haha thankfully nothing has happened! I need to get the lock for the hood and stuff. I am nervous about having the soft top now and leaving it places :/ImperialTrooper wrote:Tony, you scared the crap out of me, I thought Matt posted that his jeep just got vandalized.

Leave the doors unlocked, but hood lock it.

Yep. Guaranteed to have your top cut if you lock the doors.ImperialTrooper wrote:Leave the doors unlocked, but hood lock it.

Re: Matt's SoCal JP Jeep #18 Build
95% of the time I do not lock the jeep... So much so that just 2 weeks ago I found out the passenger door lock does not work from the outside key, and I have had it now 11 months.
I leave nothing of value in the jeep itself. I have a detachable faceplate radio, I take the face off when parking in "public places". I leave some gloves and winter hats and sunscreen in my center console, and that's it.
I have the "add-a-trunk" behind the rear seat. it makes that back space into a lockable trunk. Anything of any value gets locked in there.
The only time I have locked it was on a weekend trip. I locked it in the hotel parking lot overnight. Of course with the soft top on, it would have taken just 30 seconds longer to just unzip any of the windows..... so I probably shouldnt have even locked it then.
