Looks awesome!. By the way you should totally get some little vinyl letters and change visitPA.com on your license plate to visitJP.com (OR something of your choosing)
I'm in the same boat as you Brian! I've had a nice lady offer up her garage to paint mine as she already did with 2 other members in the motor pool, but she is like 200-300 miles away.

More shop pics

Okay! Primer is done. Windshield frame, fender flares, and side steps are painted. We choose the Sand Beige LJ1 paint, matte. It's actually really amazing! I totally get the misconception about the grey now. Below you'll see a photo of the paint card. It looks grey using my iPhone camera which explains why some of the movie stills look grey. However if you look at the paint card against the grey primer, you will see that it is actually Sand Beige. We're coming close!

Decoration!

Post by AdamT » August 9th, 2013, 4:01 pm

Also, I got some decoration for around the jeep at shows. I got the T-rex paddock sign (custom made a stand), a T-rex head, and some fake foliage. I'm probably going to also get a helmet.

Jeep is painted!

Post by AdamT » August 13th, 2013, 10:40 am

The sand beige color has officially been painted. The jeep looks great. The red detailing will be done in the next upcoming days. I really suggest going with the matte paint. Most hollywood cars have matte paint anyway for camera lighting.

The repairmen are so into this that they are now taking pictures and sending them to me at midnight. How cool is that? Red gets painted tommorow with numbering and hood stencil. All ordered from Ratrace
