Freaky sight last night as I saw this Jeep (or its twin) parked about 5 doors down from my house.

You probably saw my Wrangler last night. I was out at my buddy's place watching the Thunder.

Quick update: I have slowly be gathering the bits and pieces that I need to get my baby converted. My Jeep had an aftermarket racing steering wheel with matching American Racing steel rims. I found the correct leather wrapped steering wheel (in good condition) on ebay for 15 shipped. I also came across some of the correct rims with tires on craigslist. I sold the old wheels for the same price as my new oem ones, so I didn't lose on that.

Next, my wrangler didn't come with a factory antenna. I got one and installed it.

Next, my girlffriend got me a ball mount and whip antenna. I also got my read amber fogs installed.

A couple of days ago, I found the winch and winch plate on craigslist. I had to drive 200 miles to get it, but he sold it for $150. I worked when I bought it (he demonstated that it worked). I checked it before I installed it (worked just fine). I mounted it, and now it doesn't work :? I'm hoping it's just a fuse.

I'm currently getting quotes on getting my baby painted. I hope to get it done by April. Also, I modified the license plate from 12 to 42.

Try reversing the way you plug the winch controller in. If mine doesn't work, its because of the that.

Did you have the mounts for the Delta 100's? That link you mentioned earlier in your build seems to have a good price on them.

What kind of prices have you been getting just out of interest?

heartyfield: I didn't have the mounts. I looked everywhere. I though about making them, but I just ended up driving a whole in the bumper for each light.

cpltony: I only got one back so far, but it was just under $1000. I considered painting myself, but I don't have a garage... or anywhere to do so. I'm getting 2 other quotes.

Oklahoma Bodyworks (63rd & Rockwell) are painting my running boards right now, may try there.
They do quality work but the price may be 'up there' to boot.

I'm doing a website for a collision center that just opened so they may be able to get you a good deal as well. Drop me a PM if you want their contact number.

It looks good. What color are you painting it?
