Well, here's my progress so far. Not bad for my first time using Plasti-Dip.

It's a little rough around the edges (still learning the right time to peel the tape) but I can live with that. This project was never meant to be permanent. I went the do-it-yourself Plasti-Dip approach so if/when the day comes I have to sell the Jeep, I can return it to it's factory look. And, I'm fairly certain that the first time I get the tires replaced, the dipped wheels will peel. No paint is on the rubber, but knowing how some mechanics handle them during tire replacement...Oh well, that's why I bought extra paint. Now, I'm just waiting for the full color door logo. Also, if I ever have the money (unlikely) I intend on getting the factory half-door for the JK. Oh, and I chose "42" because it happens to be Michael Crichton's birth year, and at the same time reference Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
