I will answer with alacrity. That is a Ramsey Rep6000. Ramsey is basically out of business now and their new 6000 pound winch doesnt look the same. To be "Canon" you will need one of these. The early nineties rep6000 had a metal plug/flap where the remote plugged where as the later 90's winch had a plastic plug/flap and the logo/sticker changed. The movie jeeps had the metal plug as seen here on this jeep. Price ranges of the 90's rep6000 vary a large amount and a average is hard to give. I shopped long and hard for mine and this is IMO the crown of a canon build because of the difficulty getting one in your hands even after making contact with a seller. They are easiest to locate on craigs list but they do show up on ebay also. Try searching all major cities on craigs list and you should find one.
Appreciate the help. I've been searching for the past month and have found very few winches, let alone a ramsey rep6000 on craigslist. There is one on eBay right now for $520 with ship, factory refurb/buyout that looks like new. I'm not sure if its a good deal or not, but i'm not in a hurry to buy one right now. I'm trying to be patient and find a good deal, hence why i asked what you paid to see what the ballpark is.

Just wanted to drop by and say Ramsey isn't out of business. My buddy's father works for them in Tulsa.

On a scale 1 to 10 how jealous do you think your neighbors are?

And congratulations on having two of those gems, I've yet to get mine done. Yours are very nice :) great work.
