Hey guys. Been a lurker for a little while now and I'm finally happy to announce that I've got my base for my project! She's a '95 SE and paid a whopping $500 for it. I definitely got what I paid for
It's also my first Jeep and second car so it should be an experience
It's got some electrical issues (almost no interior lights work), leaks (mostly just window seals), holes (down in the footwells as well as a gaping one in the passenger floor), but she runs like a top. No oil or coolant leaks as far as I can tell and it shifts great.
I'm slowly making a list of repairs before I start on the conversion but I was so excited that I just had to show you guys!

Re: Michigan JP10
Well firstly, congrats. $500 I'd say it was still a steal.
The rust looks bad though....very bad.
I'd get that sorted ASAP so expect a nice chunk of work ahead of you...but some great lessons as well

True...it runs...for 500 whatever happens its a steal!....the rest will be just fun and learning.
I mean only the top is like 100-150 bucks...working tranny-100$
Tires and rim 150$
So its good If you know a good welder everything is possible.

Well here's a pic of the inside.
As you can see, the rust hole on the driver side goes all the way through. It leads to a nice breeze up my pant leg if the window is open.
The radio is actually located in the center console. I was planning on moving it back to the stock location but there seems to be a leak somewhere that leads to dripping right where the radio would sit.
Speakers need to be replaced since they sound like someone playing a comb and wax paper haha

Thankfully I do! I definitely would have reconsidered the whole thing if I didn'tSo its good If you know a good welder everything is possible.
